2nd Annual Golf Outing at Sebonack Golf Club

On September 13th, we hosted our 2nd Annual Golf Outing at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, New York. The event was filled with eager golfers, excited by the possibilities which lay ahead of them - like winning a Land Rover! The event kicked off at noon with sunny skies and perfect weather.

Thank you to all of our golfers and supporters!

This year, we raised $308,450 in support of our programs. The funds raised will go directly to support our cardiac surgery and transplant community with their financial and emotional needs. We are incredibly grateful for all of our supporters! Without the support of many, our work would not be possible.

Thank you David and Nicole!

Thank you to our heart family who spoke at the event. David, a heart transplant recipient, and his wife, Nicole, spoke at the event. They shared with attendees their heart journey. David said, “From Bridgeport to Yale to Columbia, I was going to live in the hospital and wait for my gift. After all the medications, the shocks, the 10-hour ablations, the radioactive iodine, and the PTSD, I was told to say goodbye to the heart I was born with. On Mother’s Day 2019 I was awoken by my doctor in my bed at Columbia and told that the day had come.” While he waited for his new heart, Nicole and his mother, spent nights in a hotel room just around the corner from the hospital, she noted, “We didn't need to worry about that, because, through the Harboring Hearts' Emergency Fund Program, we were able to get two hotel rooms right around the corner from the hospital. We could get up and immediately focus on David's recovery, and then fall into a comfortable bed at night and do it all over again the next day.”

Thank you to all of our sponsors.

Thank you to all event sponsors, in-kind supporters, and supporters whose generosity will forever leave a lasting impact on our heart community of patients and families. Thank you to Lucas Hunt of Hunt Auctioneers who not only understands our work, but brings it to life for donors in ways that put them in the shoes of our patients and their families. Carolina and her team at Floreana Photography for capturing the event. To see more photos, please visit our album.
