Deloitte Impact Day 2023
We are grateful for our continued partnership with Deloitte! For six years, we’ve been chosen by Deloitte volunteers to be one of the many organizations they choose to volunteer with during their annual company-wide Impact Day. Through our partnership, Deloitte volunteers have impacted over 250 Harboring Hearts’ participants since 2016. Volunteers joined us year after year and have provided meals for caregivers, assembled care packages for pediatric patients, and given hope to our cardiac patients and their families in many different ways. We want to say THANK YOU!
This year, volunteers put their creative touches on inspirational bookmarks and glitter wands, and assembled 40 care packages which included a handwritten note from each volunteer. The care packages were delivered to our adult cardiac patients and their families at NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In addition to the crafts, volunteers loaded the bags with shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes, hand sanitizer, chapstick, journals, pens, small teddy bears, and playing cards for the families. Thank you to Joanna and Patricia who shared their heart journey - what a gift you gave to our Deloitte volunteers. We look forward to joining next year’s Impact Day and touching more hearts in 2024!
