Every February, we celebrate the heart journeys of our cardiac surgery and transplant patients and their families.

This year, with the help of volunteers, cardiac social workers, hospital partners, and supporters, we engaged 127 participants From book talks with authors: Emma Rothman, Things My Therapist Doesn’t Want Me To Say: Ten Years Post Heart Transplant and Lena Crowley, The Boy Born Blue and I Am Just As Special to Care Package events with our junior board members, and supporters, along with cooking events led by patients!

We co-hosted support groups with LVAD and heart transplant patients at North Shore University Hospital and led heart art sessions at NYU Langone. Thank you to all of our volunteers, supporters, hospital partners, and social workers who made Heart Month ‘23 a memorable one!
